It is National Toasted Marshmallow Day, so tell us how do you like your marshmallows? I like them with the insides melted, I don’t like them burnt, but I like them cooked enough that the inside is melted.

I really enjoyed the finale of the convention last night! I thought Clint Eastwood’s speech was hilarious! Sure it was too long, and yeah it was unscripted, (and improvised,) but it was hilarious and I think they should let things go a little at conventions, instead of trying to make everything perfect. The best part of all this? I get to do it again next week!

Yeah, I forgot to post last night! After the convention was over, I stepped away and didn’t really end up coming back to the desk. Yay for being distracted I guess! Last night was kind of interesting, I saw a couple of the best convention speeches I’ve seen in a while, and well… a couple of the worst ones too. I could probably do a really long post on why some of the speeches are good, and some are bad, but what makes a good convention speech and what makes a bad one is entirely subjective. One weird thing with this convention though, is that the sessions are so short. It didn’t start until 4 yesterday, and got over around 8, and it will start at 4:30 today, and probably get over around 8:30. Yeah, those are 4 hour sessions, but on Tuesday, the thing started at 11 AM here, and went until like 8 PM.

First of all, I ended up going to have my lab tests taken today. Secondly, the convention started today! They did the roll call of states today, which is like my favorite part of the convention! I have to say, however, that CNN’s convention coverage this year is definitely worse than it’s ever been! Normally, they carry a lot of the activities on the floor, but not today. The first time they went to the florr wasn’t until the roll call of states! I’m extremely thankful for live streams! Although I was having problems with the streams at first for some reason, I’m not sure why. Oh yeah, I’ll be doing the exact same thing next week.

I ended up praying for 2 people at healing rooms today. After I got home, I called my friend to see if she was going to be able to take me to go have lab tests done today. There was a change of plans, (so she wasn’t,) but we’ll do that on Wednesday. I ended up getting on Skype on my phone today, I also installed the AudioBoo app so I could record. It took a long time to actually figure out where the app was, because searching for it well… didn’t exactly help matters. I ended up searching for it on the computer, sending myself a direct message with the link in it, and opening it on the phone. After I went through the usual password-related issues, I was able to install it and use it to record that test post.

I actually didn’t do much today, I did go to church this morning though. I set my alarm for 6 this morning, and didn’t get up until 7:30! I had about a half hour before I had to leave to catch the bus! I wasn’t late though, so I didn’t miss it. Tomorrow the convention starts, although it’s not going to do much but come to order, then recess until the next day, because of a tropical storm. I’m very much looking forward to the conventions, as I do every 4 years.

We’re back from BestBuy, I’m posting from the phone, using the keyboard my parent’s got me for my birthday! I ended up checking email, replying to Facebook posts, and tweeting while I was in the car riding home! I’d have to say that it was one of the most fun long-distance car trips I’ve taken in a while!
There’s also this song I like, and it answers this question from a couple months ago. I don’t always live up to the song but I try.
Nothing much else to say, other than I’m 99% sure I’ll be at church tomorrow morning, that is unless my parent’s have something up their sleeves that I absolutely didn’t know about. I don’t think this will happen though, because we would have probably left earlier if they were planning to execute some sort of surprise. OK, I think it’s time to hit publish so that I can do some other stuff, (including the twists,) and get ready to leave.

I ended up waking up at like 3 this morning with a strange case of indigestion, and I stayed up for like an hour. I didn’t get up until like 9 this morning. For some strange reason, I dreamt that my mom ended up going to Sweden, I called her a couple times while she was there, (once while I was grocery shopping,) but it was too expensivve to keep calling Sweden, so I had to stop. Today I didn’t do a whole lot, (I just managed to send out the newsletter!) This morning began with the meeting of the Organization of American States, (in response to the UK Ecuador situation,) and ended with a verdict in the Apple Samsung patent trial.
I guess we’re leaving around 12 or 12:30 tomorrow to go up to BestBuy. My sister is going, and my dad will meet us up there, (he has to work.) We’re going to eat dinner while we’re up there, at Red Lobster! I’m not sure what we’re going to do between going to BestBuy and eating, but with mom and my sister going, it will probably end up being things I don’t really want to do.
Thursday, August 23, 2012
We’re going to BestBuy on Saturday, at least as far as I know. Mom has the baby all day tomorrow, because my sister’s working. I think it’s just mom and I going to BestBuy, but I’m not quite sure. Dad might come too, but then again maybe he’ll be at work.
Wednesday, August 22, 2012
For misbehaving that is… lol! For some reason, it decided not to show me when mom’s flights took off and when they landed, like it usually does. I have no idea why it was doing this, but I have a feeling it’s something to do with lack of upkeep. Flightaware has been around for like 8-9 years now, (if not more,) and hasn’t changed much, so I guess that really doesn’t surprise me. Mom’s plane was delayed for a couple hours, but I didn’t know this, because after flightaware failed to work for the first flight, I decided to not worry about it. I didn’t manage to talk to her about when we’ll be going to BestBuy either, I’m hoping to discuss that in the next couple days. My friend is going to order me a cake, because there was just no time to make one this year, (yeah… there are reasons for that.)
Tuesday, August 21, 2012
Saturday’s my birthday, and until today, I really didn’t have any plans. I want a keyboard for my phone for my birthday, and I need to go to BestBuy so I can test the ones they have and see if they’ll work with my phone, and if they’ll work for me. I think the plan is to go to BestBuy Saturday, but I’m not sure. I plan to discuss this with mom tomorrow when I talk to her, (hopefully before her flight home.) The thing is, mom’s on the east coast, and I’m not sure if she’s going to want to travel some more after she gets back from her trip. I assume we’re going Saturday, but we might end up going next weekend instead. The nearest BestBuy is roughly an hour and a half away from here.

So because it’s 10:27, and my goal was originally to be in bed by 10, (lol!) I’m going to answer a question really quickly.
What is your favorite kind of cake? I like most kinds of cake, except those with fruit centers. Chocolate, yellow, and white are my 3 favorite kinds though. Speaking of cake, I don’t think I’m going to get one this year! Poor planning, (uh… otherwise known as distraction,) caused me to forget to pick out a recipe when I needed to do it, which was last week! Yay for nice big international incidents, they’re so much fun! Oh and I also had headaches most of last week.

My first title was going to be… they led with that? Then I decided that it probably was in fact a slow news day, thus causing CBS news to lead with the Wikileaks founder’s statement that was made this morning on a balcony near the embacy that somehow still manages to be sovereign Ecuadorian territory, (I’m not sure how that works.) Why they led with that I’m not sure, they never usually lead with that stuff. That came on at the same time I was talking to my friend, so I decided to call her back so I wouldn’t be so distracted, (uh… otherwise known as not saying anything,) while I was on the phone. Church went well this morning, it was one of those services where the team that just got back from India shared what they did and what they learned while they were there. I seriously thought I was going to miss the bus, things kind of fell apart after the statement this morning, and I spent too much time looking at tweets and email, and not enough time keeping track of time, eating, and getting ready. The rest of the day, (after church,) was pretty uneventful.
Saturday, August 18, 2012
I had one, but then decided not to use it because it was well… kind of weird, and it sounded bad, (or at least to me.) Not a whole lot went on today, I had a headache most of the day. My internet kept having issues this morning, so there were times I didn’t have a conection. This was weird, because my grandma called me Thursday to ask me if I had internet, because she was having issues, (we both have service through the same ISP.) I told her that I rarely loos my internet connection, maybe once or twice a year, and that if it’s been happening for more than an hour or 2 she needed to call CenturyLink. I got a birthday message on Facebook today… a week before my birthday! OK, I’m cool with birthday wishes, I usually like them, (although I do get kind of tired of it toward the end of the day,) but a week before? That’s maybe just a bit too early wouldn’t ya think? People usually give me birthday wishes the day before, and the day after, but I don’t think I’ve ever had them a week before.

Late as in afternoon rather than morning, not Saturday rather than Friday. I didn’t get up until around 9 this morning, because I forgot to take sleeping pills, so I didn’t really have time to send it out. I wasn’t really ready to send it out in the first place, and to be honest I wasn’t sure which links to put in or how many, so I was putting it off. Finally I was like, oh crap… it’s 4 something, I really need to do the newsletter! I think it sent around 4:45 or so. Now for something completely unrelated: I was just thinking how I wish I could have gone on mom’s trip with her. Then I was like wait… no that wouldn’t have been the best position to be in over the past 48 hours, so now I’m glad I didn’t go on the trip!

Ecuador decided that it would grant the wikileaks founder’s request for asylum! This happened despite several threats from the UK, that it would enter the embacy and arrest Assange. The UK foreign secritary released a statement saying that he was disappointed in the decision. I, on the other hand, am definitely not disappointed, and neither are the wikileaks supporters I follow on twitter! Soon after the announcement, (which I watched live,) I was watching a stream from outside the embacy, and there was lots of cheering going on! Of course I decided to celebrate too, and the dance I did to don’t stop believing was more than the twists, it was mostly in the ballet position of relevé . I think I stayed in that position longer than I have in like 13 years!

What do you listen to, if anything, as you fall asleep? Well, I usually turn the TV and/or computer off at night, (my desk is too far from my bedroom to hear anything anyway.) This does bring up an interesting story though. When I was little, of course my parent’s wanted me to be in bed by 8:30/9, and because my bedroom wasn’t that far away from where the TV was, i’d usually listen to whatever was on until I fell asleep. Now I listen to the fan, or weird things happening outside the window, or the people upstairs doing whatever they do. It just all depends on what’s going on when I get to bed.

Mom is going on a trip. Yeah she’s going by herself, no it isn’t a business trip. A couple days ago I asked her to send me her flight itinerary so I could track her flights. She forgot to send it until I texted her. She wasn’t sure if I’d be able to read it, but uh… it was a word 2007/2010 file, so there was no problem there. She just texted us to say she made it to Portland safely. Unfortunately her flight leaves at like 12 in the morning, so I won’t be staying up to track it. Although I probably could, but then I’ll be tired all day tomorrow. I told my sister that tracking flights is fun, but not that much fun!

I actually enjoyed being back at Monday morning healing rooms for a change. We had the lunchon afterwards, so I didn’t get home until around 2:30 or so. I’m not sure how many prayer seekers there were altogether, I was on a team that prayed for 2. When I went to bed last night, I set my alarm on my phone. What I didn’t realize at the time was that even though I plugged my phone in earlier, it wasn’t charged for some reason. I ended up having to leave the computer on all night to charge my phone, and it had to stay at my desk. Needless to say I didn’t hear the alarm, so instead of getting up at 6, I got up around 7, but at least I didn’t get up at 8 or 9!
Sunday, August 12, 2012
I just got done watching the closing cerimony. Usually closings are shorter than openings, (and this was by about 2 hours,) but I kind of lost track of time, (in other words, I wasn’t paying attention.) All this to say that I need to get to bed soon, because I have to go to healing rooms in the morning! I haven’t taken my sleeping pills yet though, so I’ll have to wait for those to kick in. Back to fairly normal sleep routines tomorrow, (hopefully!) Closing cerimonies are kind of weird, because those who watch the olympics don’t always want to see it end. Then it’s like… woohoo! I get to go back to a somewhat normal sleep schedule!
Saturday, August 11, 2012
talking about track relays of course, because I didn’t do this during the swimming ones. It’s an interesting way to do the twists, (instead of using music, although I did that later,) I started when they started, and finished when they finished. It’s better to do this during longer relays, like 4 by 400, because it’s about roughly 3 minutes, give or take a few seconds here and there. I did that last night, and I’ll do it again tonight, it’s an interesting way of timing the twists, instead of depending on the relatively variable length of songs. Of course I could set the timer for like 5 minutes and have at it, I think I’ll try that next.

- My friend and I are switching chiropractors. We’re going to try going to her boyfriend’s chiropractor instead of the one we normally go to. His is $20 cheaper, and they won’t charge my friend for her records like ours will.
- Last night went pretty much the same as the night before, I didn’t get a whole lot of sleep.
- I finally sent out the newsletter at 4 something this afternoon.
- I set my alarm for 8 this morning, so I wouldn’t get up at 10 like I did yesterday morning.
- I’ve enjoyed the Olympics, but I’m glad they’re coming to an end. It tends to throw everything off as far as sleep schedules, and daily routines.
- Something else that throws everything off is Monday morning healing rooms, I can’t go to the chiro when my friend goes because I’ll be at church!
Thursday, August 9, 2012
Well, actually, if you’re reading this tomorrow morning, it’s the night before last. I don’t think I got more than 3-4 hours of sleep last night, and it could have even been less than that. I didn’t end up taking sleeping pills until Olympic primetime was over, so I stayed up an extra hour to wait for them to take effect. They probably did take effect, but it seems like they didn’t. Completely unrelated: I have all the linkblog links ready for the newsletter tomorrow morning. I’ll get links from here tomorrow when I go to put it all together.

Do you ever eat your cupcakes with the frosting side down? What? no way! I don’t even eat my cake frosting side down. Of course I always end up eating cake like you eat cupcakes, unless it’s really, really messy or I’m in a really formal setting.

Right now, I’m watching the balance beam event finals in the olympics. I had to post something, because I hadn’t done it yet, I was going to answer a question, but decided not to. I took gymnastics for a while when I was little. I loved the uneven bars, them and the trampoline were my 2 favorite things. I never did all that well on beam, although if my sister hadn’t have quit and/or my mom would have kept taking me, I probably would have gotten better at it.
Monday, August 6, 2012
I got an email last night, that said there won’t be anymore Tuesday night healing rooms until October. This means I have to go on monday mornings for a while, but they’ll be closed all next month, so I won’t have to worry about it then. I’m not too worried about going on Mondays for like 3 weeks, but I don’t want to have to do that permenantly. I did manage to go grocery shopping this morning, and I think I got everything for the month.
Sunday, August 5, 2012
I don’t have anything that measures in door temperature, but it must be like 85-90 in here right now. I opened the windows last night, and I was going to close them before I left, but I didn’t really have time. I had to leave to make sure I didn’t miss the bus, so I ended up leaving without turning the AC on. Obviously I don’t plan to do the same thing tomorrow, but my friend said that when they come tomorrow to help with the groceries, to make sure the AC is on. no really? I really don’t like it when people say things like that, obviously I’m going to run the AC, I just didn’t have time to this morning.
Saturday, August 4, 2012
I’m looking forward to getting back to church, that is if the bus remembers to come pick me up, I think they actually forgot last time, (the time they didn’t come.) Monday I get to go grocery shopping… again, this time to get everything I need for the whole month, instead of just a couple weeks. I think today’s the first day I actually felt somewhat rested when I woke up this morning, and I can actually do stuff for more than an hour or so.
Friday, August 3, 2012
Have you ever lost your cellphone? Would you even try to find it in an airport? I’ve misplaced my phone as in, I can’t remember which room I put it in. I’ve never really lost it though, as in had it fall out of my purse, or left it somewhere. Would I look for it in an airport? Uh… I don’t think so, because in most airports that’s impossible.

I managed to get the newsletter sent out this morning, even though it was at a later time than usual. I comtimplated putting it off until tomorrow, but I just decided to do it so that it wouldn’t be a day late.
Thursday, August 2, 2012
Tomorrow morning that is. I don’t have a lot of stuff to put in this week’s newsletter. I think I’ll post the beginning and ending posts from last weekend, and a couple links from the linkblog, but other than that that’s it. So it’s going to be short, but I have no plans to skip it. The newsletter might come later tomorrow, instead of in the morning. I’d like to write a post about something on the linkblog before I send out the newsletter, so that I can put it in.
