As I’ve said in the past, I don’t do much on weekends, and today was no exception. I did however prove that I probably won’t be able to wake up on my own anymore. I didn’t get up til 9 this morning! I think I’ll try the alarm thing for another week, and try it again next weekend. I actually kind of want my waking up early at random times thing back, because I did enjoy it, (that is, when I didn’t have a headache!) I actually don’t mind waking up early, as long as it isn’t ultra-early, (as in, like 1 or 2 in the morning.) Tomorrow will be an interesting day, I’m going to try and stay away from twitter most of the day tomorrow! Well, OK I think it’s time to click publish, considering the fact that I’ve been writing this post for like 20 minutes now!

- I didn’t have a headache today! I still have a bit of sinus conjestion, but that’s it.
- I actually got up around 5:15 this morning, not 5:30.
- I’m so not setting my alarm tomorrow, because it’s Saturday! I don’t need to get up at 5 on a saturday, although if I do on my own, that would be fine.
- I also won’t be making my daily to-do list for tomorrow, as I don’t make them on weekends. I don’t really do much on weekends anyway, so making a list would most likely result in me not finishing it.
- It’s weird that April Fools Day is on a Sunday this year!
- I’m definitely going to try and stay away from Twitter on Sunday, because you never know what you’re going to find there on April Fools Day.
- It’s also weird that April 1st is Palm Sunday!
- Easter is on the exact same day it was 5 years ago, I remember this because I was baptised on April 8th, 2007, which was Easter Sunday!

I’ve had a headache all day today, so I didn’t do much at all. Last night, I ended up having to get up and take sleeping pills, because I just couldn’t get to sleep. The pills that I take are the natural ones that don’t usually give me headaches, but I still tend to wake up with them every now and then, and I had a bit of one yesterday, (I didnt take the pills the night before last.) I’m trying not to take sleeping pills if I can avoid it. It was weird, because I think I fell asleep for about a half hour yesterday, that was it. I think some of this headache stuff is weather-related, because I’m having sinus stuff too, and we’re having one day nice, and the next day rainy weather here.

How likely are you to wake up within 10 minutes of your alarm clock sounding in either direction? When I set the alarm on my phone, or set a wake-up call, it will wake me up, 99% of the time. I think I’ve only missed one wake-up call, in the 2 years I’ve been using them. Of course I don’t use them every day, but this week I’m on a bit of a mission to try to get up as close to 5:00 as I can, because I’ve been waking up late for the past 2 or 3 weeks before that. I’ve been fairly successfull, getting up at about 5:30 today and yesterday. I don’t like it when I get up late, and usually if I’m starting to do that on a regular basis, I have to do something to try and change that, or I’ll just keep doing it.

I was actually thinking about skipping weekly links this week, but I do have a couple links to post.
- 'A Test You Need to Fail, from commondreams.org This is a teacher writing a letter to her 8th grade students about a test she was grading.
- How Monopolies Strangle Innovation: Record Label Demands Making Investors Nervous About Spotify, from techdirt spotify is a startup that streams music via desktop and mobile apps, they have both free and paid subscription plans. Spotify is in the process of trying to raise money from venture capitalists, but the music industry is making these investors nervous.
One more thing on Spotify, I don’t use it because it requires a facebook account, and I don’t want to share everything I listen to on facebook.

We haven’t sang this song in church for months now, since last year sometime. What I did next was probably even weirder, but the person didn’t seem to mind, and neither did everyone else on the prayer team. I proceeded to sing the chorus of the song! Yep, I sang, while the person was still in there… and he didn’t run out! Everyone said I actually sang fairly well. Then, after I was done singing, I did the most obvious thing, (the thing I was supposed to do,) and actually prayed for the person.

I thought I’d mix things up a bit with some quizzes, because I haven’t posted any in a while.
You Are a Hybrid
You’re the type of person who worries about doing the right thing. You’re very conscientious.
You care about the world and the effect you have on it. You consider your actions carefully.
Doing the right thing makes you feel good. It’s who you are, not what you have, that makes you happy.
You make rational decisions and think about all aspects of your actions. You don’t act rashly.
You Are Navy Blue
You’re a true adventurer. You constantly find yourself drawn to new experiences, people, and places.
Sometimes you feel quite scattered and bored. If something exciting isn’t going on, you feel a bit lost.
You Are a Kiwi
You’re a very outgoing person. You start each day excited about the people you’ll see and meet.
You’re the type of person who’s just comfortable around others. You are a very social creature.
You are quite opinionated. You can’t help but have a view on everything, and you don’t mind sharing it!
You are prepared for whatever comes your way in life. You plan for the worst and expect the best.
You Are Chicken Fried Steak
You are bold and fearless. You tend to think big, and that includes eating big.
If you’re going to go out to eat, then you’re going to order something amazing. No salads for you!
You live in the now. You figure the future is uncertain, so you might as well just make the best of today.
You don’t believe in moderation or holding back. You just go for it, consequences be damned.
Church ran a bit long today, we sang a lot of songs, more than usual. I didn’t get up until 9 for some reason, even though I set the alarm on my phone to go off at 6. I guess I’m in a phase of getting up really late for some reason.

I went to go share my testimony at the women’s mission this morning. I think it went fairly well, noone really asked any questions. Afterwards, my friend Kim and I went to lunch. We stayed at lunch for a while, and talked about various things. Then she brought me home, and went back to work. She works on Saturday’s, that’s why she has me go in to share on Saturday’s. I actually wouldn’t have minded if someone wanted to ask me some questions, as long as they aren’t the overly hilarious ones, because I’d probably crack up laughing right there.
Friday, March 23, 2012
When choosing a gift, what do you get someone who has everything? Do you try to be clever? Or do you just get them a card? First of all, I think cards are overrated, at least for me. I usually get them a gift card though, I’m not that good at choosing gifts without a list of some kined. If someone makes a Christmas list, or I ask them what they want for their birthday, and they actually give me an answer, it’s easier for me than to pick something out of thin air.
Via that’s my answer.
I’ll be leaving at 9 tomorrow morning to go to the women’s mission, which means I’ll probably want to get up around 5 or 6. I like to have 3 or 4 hours before I go somewhere, so that I can do whatever.
Thursday, March 22, 2012
My friend came over to cut the second half of my hair today. I now have short hair, which is the way I like it! I don’t exactly do anything with my hair, (besides brush and wash it,) so I like short hair. I’m just not a fan of taking 45 minutes to an hour and a half to get ready to go somewhere, and doing hair usually takes most of that time, (well, it does for my sister anyway.) I called sprint today, to ask them why I had to pay an extra $75, even though my account was supposed to be canceled. They told me it was for January and February, but I thought that’s what I paid when I paid the remaining balance before I went to cancel my account. I asked if the account got canceled, and the guy said that it did, but I still owe the $75. On Saturday I’ll be going to the women’s mission to share my testimony again. My friend asked me to come, since she has a new group of ladies there.
Wednesday, March 21, 2012
Not a whole lot went on here today, so I thought I’d talk about something that happened yesterday, and something that will probably happen tomorrow. My friend’s boyfriend went to jail yesterday, to face his drinking and driving and eluding charges. Oh I guess there’s one thing from today, I got a letter from Sprint in the mail saying I owe $75.13, but I called and asked them to cancel my account either at the beginning of last month, or the end of January. I paid the remaining balance at the time, and they said my account would be canceled at the end of my cycle the next month. I thought that since I had already paid the remaining balance, that I didn’t owe them anything else. My sprint phone hasn’t worked since last summer, it won’t take a charge. Tomorrow, my friend plans to come and finish the haircut that she didn’t finish last time. I’m hoping she does, because I’m ready for the length to be gone!

Here are the links for this week:
- Songr This is the best thing I’ve found in a while! This will convert Youtube videos to mp3, but not only that, find mp3’s for you. It’s very, very fast! I had a youtube video playing at the exact same time it was downloading the exact same video, and it was done in a couple seconds. This is desktop software, not a website. the URL takes you straight to the download link.
- RIAA and ISPs to police your traffic this summer, from arstechnica.com Uh… it’s hilarious that I’m linking to this right after something that downloads songs for you, but yeah.
- Blocking WikiLeaks emails trips up Bradley Manning prosecution, from politico.com. Lol… seriously? I guess they’re so focused on blocking anything that has to do with Wikileaks that they don’t want to receive evidence that may or may not help their case. This is why filtering certain words just doesn’t work!

I actually did get to go in twice today! This was after the lady who I ride with, and the director’s wife both said something to the director. Our first one was interesting, he checked no on “born again.” This was only like my third or fourth time praying, and I’d never prayed for someone who was unsaved before. I wasn’t sure what to say, I asked one of the ladies who’s been there like way longer than I if we could pray for him to become a believer, and she said “not directly.” I wasn’t even sure if we were supposed to offer salvation, we asked the director afterwards though, and he said “that’s what the training says.” I did remember after he said that, that it did in fact talk about it. We had a trainee in with us, and he asked the question. The leader, (who’s been in the healing rooms for like a couple years,) and the lady who’s been in for like 4 years didn’t know that answer, nor did they ask. I suppose I should have, but I was too nervous, and didn’t think of it until afterwards. Someone said they’ve seen him at church a couple times, and he said he has a friend from our church who’s a Christian, (she does the words for the songs, and scriptures for the sermons’ sometimes.)

I decided to do some word association, because it seemed like the most fun thing to do on a Sunday.
- Quit ::Resign
- Solace ::Closure was the first thing that came to my mind, also peace.
- Suggest :: Feedback
- Meteor :: Shower
- Zombies ::Apocalypse, (lol!)
- Birds ::Trees, flight, singing
- Canceled :: Permanently Postpoaned
- Compatible :: Software, drivers. As in, if you run older drivers, they might not be compatible.

We had like 30 people baptised at our church today! I think that’s the most we’ve had since I’ve been going there! I was baptised 5 years ago on Easter Sunday, so that’s coming up.
Saturday, March 17, 2012
I probably didn’t get to sleep until about 2-3 last night. I accidentally fell asleep on the couch for a couple hours, like an hour before I went to bed. I wasn’t really tired when I went to bed, because I had just slept for a couple hours before then. I didn’t get up until almost 12PM! I hate when I do things like that, because it completely throws everything off. I needed to eat, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted breakfast or lunch. I ended up having lunch, because it was kind of cold in here, and I wanted something warm. I eat cold cereal for breakfast, and while I don’t keep it in the fridge, (some people actually do that!) it’s still not exactly the warmest thing around. I don’t think I’ve ever woke up that late before! I’ve woke up around 10 or 10:30, but never almost 12! I’m setting the alarm on my phone for tomorrow morning, because I’m going to church!

Can you fall asleep on a plane or other means of transportation? No way! I can sit there half asleep and half awake though. I’m sure if I sat in first class I could definitely fall asleep! I can’t fall asleep in cars at all, unless I’m in the front seat and even then, I still have a hard time. I might drift off for a few minutes, but then I wake up again. I blame it on the bus rides from here to the school for the blind that I took for 3 years.
Via that’s my answer.
The bright side of all this annoying March Madness stuff on TV, is that I get to listen to more TWiT! Of course the down side of it is that even national news is being replaced by basketball.
Thursday, March 15, 2012
So yesterday I wrote about my friend’s boyfriend and one of the strangest questions I’ve ever been asked, (sort of.) I’ve gotten some really strange ones! I can’t remember how old I was, but someone actually asked me how I take a shower. Well, let’s see, get in the shower, turn on the water, wash my hair, etc. Another one I got was, “when you wash your hands, how do you know they’re clean? Well, first of all, they say it should take 15-20 seconds to wash your hands, about as long as it takes to sing “Happy Birthday.” Second, I just put my hands under the water, got them wet, put soap on them, lathered up, then rinsed them! If they aren’t clean after that, well then they might never be clean. Oh and uh… my hands are still wet after I’m done. Oh and completely random and unrelated to any of this, I absolutely hate March madness with a passion! I’m just not a basketball fan, or a football fan, or a baseball fan for that matter. I’m definitely a fan of the Olympics though, both winter and summer!

I forgot I was getting close to 777 posts until I saw the thingy that says how many posts I’ve published. Not much went on here today; I did go to the chiropractor yesterday. My friend told me her boyfriend wonders how I have headaches… get this, because I’m blind! That cracked me up for a while! Everyone feels pain, unless you have a specific condition that prevents that from happening. I don’t have that condition, but if I did I wouldn’t have to go to the chiropractor! I couldn’t believe he would be that stupid, or at least if he was I thought he’d keep it to himself. I’ve gotten some strange questions, but never have I cracked up over a question as much as I cracked up over that one! Obviously sensitivity to light doesn’t affect me, but there are times I’ve had headaches that were so bad, I could only sit up for like 15-20 minutes at a time.

Have you ever flown in a helicopter? I haven’t, but I want to! I almost had the opportunity when mom, my sister, and I went on our trip to Hawaii in 2003, but the helicopter tours were too expensive. We did go parasailing though!

We had 2 prayer seekers at healing rooms today, but I didn’t go in for some reason. They all went to a conference on Saturday, and prayed for 21 people! I had planned to go to the baby shower way before I knew about the conference, so there wasn’t any conflict for me. Women’s retreat was also last weekend, but it wasn’t my year to go to retreat anyway, (I’ve decided that I can only really aford to go every other year.)
Sunday, March 11, 2012
OK, so I’ll get to the baby shower stuff later, but there was something else that happened yesterday. I found out that I lost lifes-adventures.net. Apparently I wasn’t quick enough, but whois didn’t update to tell me anything had changed until yesterday. I also did some searches to see if it was available, and it wasn’t. The whois still said it was owned by GoDaddy, instead of someone else, but yesterday I saw this: NS49.ASEOSERVER.COM
NS50.ASEOSERVER.COM Those are not GoDaddy’s DNS servers! So GoDaddy emailed me to say that my domain was being deleted a couple weeks ago, but it appeared that it was still taken by them until yesterday, when it was suddenly transfered to different name servers. GoDaddy didn’t email to inform me that there was any auction or transfer going on, as I think they’re supposed to, (although I’m not quite sure how the polacy works. There’s a way to fix this though, and that’s to register the same name with a different extension, (at a different registrar of course!) OK, now to the baby shower. It was long but fun! I got to see a couple people I hadn’t seen in years, and my sister got lots of gifts! I don’t think the baby is going to be in want of anything any time soon! I went early with mom and my aunt, when they went to set things up.
Saturday, March 10, 2012
I have about an hour and 15 minutes before I leave to go to my sister’s baby shower! I’m so very excited! This will be my first baby shower, and it’s someone in the family, so that makes it even more exciting! I was thinking about this this morning while reading someone else’s blog, we all blog for different reasons, but the main reason why I blog is so that in 15 years or so, I can look back on what I was doing on which day. The other reason is because it’s so much fun! Anyway, this is one of those days that’s important, and will be important to remember in the future. This is one of those big days, like weddings and graduations where you wake up in the morning and are like… really? are we really ready for this to happen? I got my sister’s card done last night, just before I left for my parent’s house. I had to resend it this morning though, because mom’s computer that’s hooked up to the printer has word 2003, and I have word 2010! When I got to my parent’s house last night, my sister and my aunt were deciding on a picture to have everyone sign at the shower. Mom, my sister, and my aunt had to leave, so they ate quickly, but I stayed with grandma and her boyfriend until they took me home. When I talked to mom the second time this morning, she had just finished preparing the food that she was supposed to make. I’m not sure if it’s a potluck, but various people are making various things. OK, time to click publish and do any last-minute things before getting ready!
Friday, March 9, 2012
I think there isn’t anyone in my family right now who isn’t excited about my sister’s baby shower! Except for my dad, (probably.) I’ve never really been to a baby shower before, but I learned that only women go to them, or that’s the way it is around here anyway. I’ll be leaving in a while, (which could mean anywhere from a few minutes to a couple hours from now,) to go have dinner at my parent’s house. This is kind of a tradition in our house, the night before a big family event or holiday, we’ll usually all get together for dinner. I decided to blog post now, because since I don’t know what time I’m leaving, I also don’t know when, (or whether I’ll want to,) post when I come back. I’m hoping to go early to the venue tomorrow, when mom goes to set up, but I’m not sure if I actually will get to or not, it all depends on who takes what, and a bunch of fun event planning logistics like that. I’m not kidding, I really do enjoy a good event, and the planning that usually goes with it. Of course I would have liked to have been a part of such planning, and I did ask, but was told I wasn’t needed. Oh well, that’s all over now, and it’s time to celebrate the soon-to-be arrival of my niece! Oh crap, speaking of event planning… I forgot to do the one thing I said I was going to do, type something to go inside my sister’s card. Yeah, I better get on that one!

A couple days before my sister’s baby shower, here are 13 things I’m looking forward to.
- My sister’s baby shower! OK, that was the most obvious one.
- Finding out the name my sister has decided on for the baby, hopefully we’ll find out on Saturday.
- My niece being born!
- Being able to reregister my domain, and register another one. I haven’t checked on this for a while, but the process should be finished now.
- More startup conferences like Launch I love startup conferences!
- My aunt and uncle on my mom’s side coming out here in June. My aunt is coming for the shower, but I’m looking forward to seeing both of them!
- Sharing my testimony again.
- Church this Sunday, both because I didn’t go last week, and because I always look forward to church!
- The trip we’re going to be taking with my aunt and uncle, I think it’s only going to be a 2 or 3 day trip, but hopefully it will still be fun!
- Getting a keyboard for my phone.
- More chances to pray in the healing rooms.
- Blogathon! I didn’t intentionally put this one close to last, but it and the next one are the farthest away.
- The 2012 summer olympics, which coincide with blogathon this year, (tradition dictates that blogathon is at the end of July, and so are the olympics!)
I went to the Thursday 13 site and there wasn’t a post for this week, so I’m not linking to the site. If one shows up later, I’ll probably link to it.

Yesterday I had lunch with my sister. It was supposed to be a private thing, but mom had to come because my sister didn’t think she had enough time to get here, pick me up, eat lunch, take me home, then get back to work. After lunch, mom and I went to the ATM, so I could get some cash to pay for the cake. Then we came back here to wrap my sister’s baby gifts. Mom wanted to do it, so I let her. She wrapped the presents, then she got ready to leave, I helped her carry one to the car, because she couldn’t carry them all. While she was wrapping the presents, I asked her if she knew the name of the baby. She said she did, but “I said I wouldn’t tell.” I asked her why my sister was being so secretive, and she said that she doesn’t want it being mentioned on facebook and someone to take the name. OK, that’s fine, I said, “but we don’t have copyrights and trademarks on baby names.” All startup and private beta jokes aside, this is in fact a baby, not a startup!

Today I went to healing rooms. We only had one prayer seeker, so only 3 people got to pray. After healing rooms, I called Lindfa and she came over and cut my hair. She didn’t get here until almost 3 though, she only did half of my hair, she trimmed my bangs and got it off my ears, but left the length. Tomorrow, my sister and I are going to have lunch.
Sunday, March 4, 2012
So as I said, I didn’t have a ride to church today. I just called my friend who was going to be out of town with her boyfriend, and they didn’t end up going anywhere. I asked her why she didn’t go to church today, and told her that I didn’t end up going. She said she didn’t go, because she was planning to be out of town. She seemed like she didn’t care at all that I missed church, because she decided to stay home, and not call me and tell me about it. I did offer to pay $30 for one of the cakes for my sister’s baby shower, that makes me feel less guilty, and should hopefully make mom not ask for anything more. I get less than she gets on unemployment, and she’s asking me to help with something that to this point, I haven’t been involved in at all. Tomorrow after healing rooms, my friend yeah, (the one that didn’t go to church,) is coming over to cut my hair. She told me to call her when I got home from church, which is usually around 1:30.
Saturday, March 3, 2012
I’ve called 4 different people to ask for a ride to church tomorrow, but so far, 2 of them are out of town, 1 is sick, and the other hasn’t called me back yet. He might call tomorrow morning, but that would be a bit last minute. My friend is at the coast with her boyfriend, my other friend is also out of town, (she didn’t say where she was going.) So yeah, I’m not sure if I’ll have a ride to church tomorrow. Other than that, not a whole lot went on today. I think my friend is coming over on Monday after I get back from healing rooms, to cut my hair before my sister’s baby shower next weekend. Speaking of the baby shower that I haven’t really been involved in, mom just told me that I should feel free to pay for something if I want to, even though I haven’t been involved in the planning, or anything to do with the shower at all. Although I did order the gifts, and I bought wrap, a card, and all the stuff I needed on Thursday.

Do you take a multi-vitamin? I don’t, I do however take vitamin C, vitamin D, and calcium. My chiropractor told me I needed vitamin D after I came in with knee stiffness one day, (and as a matter of fact, I haven’t had any since I started taking it.) I take vitamin C so as not to get sick, and calcium because honestly I’m not a huge fan of milk, yeah… I know that’s weird, don’t ask. I like cheese and ice cream, but I’m not a fan of milk.

Today was interesting, we got everything done on time. We hurried at the grocery store, then mom and I went to Kmart and to get my sister, and to the doctor. We had to get my sister from work because she’s sick. My cousin was in town for a physical for a job, so we got to see him for a few minutes. So we went to get my cousin, then he followed us to my sister’s work. We visited for a while, then went to the doctor.
