I'm just back to update.

I reached my goal of $100! I’d like to thank my Aunt Carolyn who made it happen by donating $30! I wasn’t sure I’d reach my goal for a while, I set it because that was $15 more than I raised last year, and I thought I could reach that,) but after a while I was starting to realize that I wouldn’t and be perfectly OK with that. I chatted with Aunt Carolyn on Facebook last night and asked her if she’d like to donate, I really didn’t know what she’d say, (but I was just taking a chance.) She said yes and that she’d get to it tomorrow, I woke up to an email from FirstGiving that said she donated and how much she donated and I was like wooohooo! OK I’m done writing seriously, I never thought I’d be back here today, but blog 365 starts again tomorrow so I have to come back here then.)

The party's over, it was so much fun while it lasted!

Yes it most definitely was! I have a list of people I’d like to thank, because you didn’t think I’d get away without posting one last list… did ya?

  1. My friends Kim and Linda for donating, oh but that isn’t the least of it! My friend Linda for answering my calls at 9:30 at night and calling me at almost 11 PM, for taking me grocery shopping, and to the bank to deposit money I had saved up, (without which I wouldn’t have been able to effectively prepare for this event,) My friend Kim for sharing my posts on facebook, boosting my signal, listening to my nonstop talk about blogathon for the past month or so now, for taking the pictures of me doing the happy dance, and for reading my facebook messages when chat wasn’t cooperating.

  2. My mom for writing that wonderfully written story she wrote this morning, for supporting me in my efforts and for her soon-to-be donation.

  3. My sister for being one of only 5 people to click attending on my facebook event invitation.

  4. Mark for answering the questions, listening to blogathon ramble, (just like both Linda and Kim have had to put up with,) and for being on live with me for most of the event.

  5. Everyone who left comments there are too many to name right now, but I read each and every comment and published and appreciated each one, (if there are any I didn’t publish I’ll definitely publish them afterwards!)

It was so much fun doing blogathon this year, and now it’s over! 24 hours isn’t very long when you have fun every minute of it! I raised $70 so far and I still have some expected donations, (my aunt on my dad’s side even said she’d doinate!) So who knows, I could still reach my goal! Well I don’t know how much sleep I’ll get or I’ll let myself get or whatever but I’m now going to click publish for the last time in this thing. This is aalso a blog 365 post so that I don’t have to come back here today if for some reason I don’t feel up to it. Thanks so much for your support and efforts everyone!

I’d also like to add that I feel like I did after 2007 except for the fact that I have a headache, (never, ever take Tylenol PM the night before staying up for 24 hours… it’s a very bad thing!) That was when I was riding adrenalin to the end and one well-timed cup of coffee kicked it into high gear, I think it was a combination of things this time but yeah, I feel together and alert and aware and that’s a lot to be said for staying up for 24 hours!

Because quizzes are fun and I waited until the very, very end to do them!

I just took these quizzes from blogthings by filling out forms, I told Mark when I was talking to him on skype once that I could stay up all night taking quizzes and he said why not make that your blogathon theme?
I was like no… I don’t particularly want to bore my readers with all quizzes all the time but here are 3 just because I had fun while taking them!

Last hour!

We’re entering the last hour of our 24 hour adventure! So, I’m going to post now, then at 5:30, then again at 6. Why am I doing it this way? Because I want to post questions, then take some quizzes something I haven’t done for the whole time but want to do because they’re fun! Then finish and thank everyone. So here it goes, here are the questions!
Would you rather eat chocolate or fruity candies? I like both, as long as it isn’t chocolate with fruit-filled centers, (yeah I’m strange!)
If nobody would dance with you would you dance by yourself? Right now? definitely! I could probably get up and dance right now, although I need to take it easy with the movement because well… staying up for 24 hours gets to the balance a bit and I’m starting to be a bit unsteady on my feet. Don’t worry, I know how to take it slow. But would I normally dance by myself? no way! I’d be the one in the corner who doesn’t dance, or the one sitting in the chair all night/day/whatever.
How many shortcuts do you have on your desktop? Let’s see… 12, not sure what the 12th one is but I usually have 11.
Have you ever had to call 911 (or whatever emergency system your town has if you don’t have 911)? No, but mom has when she’s seen wrecks and I was in the car with her once when she saw one and called to report it.
If I Googled your name what would I find? Me on Quora and my google profile, and lots of other’s besides me.

listyness again!

  1. Blame twitter for this here post being a little late.

  2. My AC is still on, keeping me cool and awake.

  3. I plan to answer more questions in the next post.

  4. There’s less than an hour and a half left!

The posting time fast approaches!

Hey I have to post in 3 minutes… um! What am I doing? I’m not exactly distracted by nothing here, memory is the first thing to go when there’s lack of sleep involved! Checking email I have none, talking on live well Mark is finally up! But he’s leaving to go lead worship at his church a place I will not be going this morning, as I sleep the sleep of recovery, I don’t think I could wake up in time.
I sitll have my coffee and I forgot about it! I plugged the warmer in so it should be still warm at least yay! maybe I’ll break out the gummy rings or airheads to go with that, who’s up for those? Those are things I’ve already tried so no need to post about those, but they were in my order.
A couple questions just for the fun of it! Not blank ones this time.
Have you ever acted like you understood something when you didn’t? Yep I have, because the person explaining it to me was likely not doing a very good job!
Would you ever consider becoming a teacher? I wanted to be a teacher for a while in high school and did a work experience at a private school as a teaching assistant, it was fun and all but not for me.
blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

Someone needs some questions!

So Peggy from missing sleep for animals said she should ask for some questions, well… OK, here it goes, anyone can answer these questions in a post or a comment or however.
I just absolutely have to put them in list form…

  1. Have you ever dreamt a dream that came true?

  2. How often do you talk on the phone?

  3. Do you plan what to wear the next day?

  4. When’s the last time you had a Popsicle?

  5. Have you ever woken up and not known where you were?

  6. What was the last thing you said out loud?

  7. Are there any noises that drive you up the wall?

  8. Do you remember your first phone number? Have you called it recently?

  9. What is the most fun you had this year and what were you doing?

  10. What would you say is your favorite hobby?

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

questions again!

Let’s go back to questions, just for fun!
How many glasses of water do you drink each day? I have water bottles in my fridge and I drink a lot of water every day, but I’m not sure how many glasses exactly.
Do you take compliments well? Well I try, but I’m not the most social person! I can be a major lurker at times.
Tell about one of your scars. Let’s see, there’s this one on my left knee, when I was 9 or 10, I was walking the dog with a friend, the dog pulled the leash so hard that it started to make my friend run so very fast to try to catch up with it, dragging me behind, I fell to the ground and was drug on my knee for a second, causing like this big open wound, yeah the scar is still there!
How old were you the first time you flew in an airplane? I think I was 9, and we were going to see my aunt and uncle on my dad’s side. That first flight for me? A united airlines flight, which I’ll never take again!

It's 2:56 in the morning, and I'm still eating chocolate and drinking coffee!

Oh yes, yes I am! Because it was so good and I couldn’t find anything better to do… seriously! Hey, it’s 2:56 shouldn’t I start working on my post for next time? Yeah, maybe I should do that! I know I’m strange, maybe I should stick to lists but these stream of consciousness things are fun! So, here it is in list form:

  1. I still have about half a cup of coffee left, this is the one chance it gets to give me whatever it’s going to give me, because I won’t be having it again during the event.

  2. I ate more malted milk balls just now.

  3. Dear mom, I know that it might be right to lecture me for what I’m eating right now, but understand that both last year and the year before I made myself sick because I didn’t hardly eat anything during the 24 hour event, yeah I know I’m behaving like well… anyway it doesn’t matter, the process is going very well and I’m eating! So be thankful for that OK?

  4. 3 hours to go!

  5. oh hey, better hit publish before I’m late!

  6. I really hope phelan can make it through, hope everything’s OK!

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

This is what goes on in my mind at this time.

What time is it? and what time do I have to post again? oh, I don’t remember, let me check the blog for the 50000000th time! OH OK not yet, I can go do whatever, (which can mean any number of things.) Hey, maybe I should audiotweet again huh? that was fun last time! Hey I’m not behind on emails! Oh um… why don’t I hit publish for a change and be early with this? Or I could make it longer like this, seriously if you’ve ever heard of 750words they want you to do stream of consciousness writing and this is that if there is any. I use 750 words on a regular basis and can’t achieve streams of consciousness like I just did!

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

I gave it a rest.

Because windows were starting to act wonky beyond repair, I shut my computer down and started it back up again after a couple minutes. OK, here’s a list just for fun!

  1. I’ve achieved coffee! While my computer was shut down for a couple minutes I had a chance to take a few long sips, it was ever so refreshing, and how coffee tastes at this time of the morning!

  2. There’s always time for more candy.

  3. Hey, at least I won’t be sick tomorrow from not eating, LOL!

  4. I tweeted early about forgetting to put my pizza in the fridge…. why do I do this every year? Seriously I wonder!

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

Something different than a list for once!

I decided to just answer a question or 2 or 3 or however many I pick out of the file and can get posted in time.
What does your name mean? Are you named after anyone? I’m not named after anyone, but my name actually does mean Christmas. I was named because my parent’s couldn’t agree on what to name me, so they put 2 middle names together and came up with Noelle Dawn uh… I probably shouldn’t tell you guys that lol but I don’t care! I’m not too worried about it but my mom might be.
What is your favorite major news channel; CNN, MSNBC, or Fox News? Why? CNN simply because I started watching it in 1994 um here’s another fact about me I was interested in the simpson case and took a lot of flac about it, CNN was the main one covering it all day, (as I remember it right now,) and so that’s what I started watching.
What was the first social networking website you ever used? I was on myspace in 2004, then deleted my account then started it over again 3 years later, after joining twitter and facebook the same year although I had to rejoin facebook because I used an email address from an ISP that I canceled and they locked me out.

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

Um... excuse me while I post... wait... on time?

Um, well it would have been on time a minute ago exactly, but at this point who’s counting right? So, while I’m at my list-making stage, (seriously I’m not sure where these lists are coming from!)

  1. I haven’t been able to get to the coffee yet, trust me I’ll get there!

  2. I did some twitwooping just a couple minutes ago, my audiotweeting service that I planned on using decided to fail nice and epically on me! Yeah, that’s the way to go!

  3. I did eat some candy a couple hours ago,I had sour straws which were sour enough to tell they were sour, but not intense like I like sour things, if you know what I mean.

  4. Don’t worry, I only had 4, and I don’t feel sick or anything.

  5. I’m ready to publish this right now.

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

Ready for coffee and my uploads to finish!

OK, anyone who’s still reading, I think I’m now officially there! I’ve arrived at the point I’ve been looking forward to for the past while the woohoo stage! Let’s see what coffee does with that… ok? I like the woohoo stage, it’s fun! Or otherwise known as:

  1. I’m happy to be getting mentions on twitter.

  2. I’m ready to call twitwoop again and do my audiotweets, even if I have to pay for it, because audiotweeting is fun!

  3. I’m not tired anymore, and I’m ready to break out more questions.

OK, I’m having fun, that’s obvious. Sorry to be acting so strange right now…

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

Getting distracted by the unwieldy question file.

OK, yeah, there are something like 1084 questions in this text file, here I am looking for all the fun ones and I’ve found some, but yeah, 1084 questions! It’s become unwieldy, it’s kind of like a csv file that just doesn’t work… they get out of alignment and you can’t do anything with them after that. OK, I was going to be late and had to post something…

On my birthday...

OK, so here’s another listy thingy:
List some things that you would like to do on your next birthday.

  1. Go back to SF, that would be the ultimate birthday gift for me!

  2. do something extreme again, although that might have to wait a couple years until I’m 30. For my 17th birthday, (don’t tell anyone OK?) Mom surprised me with a skydive, (you aren’t supposed to freefall skydive until you turn 18, and you can static line, (where the parachute opens right after you leave the plane,) when you turn 16. Not sure what I’d like to do, something new though, something I haven’t done before.

  3. Have cake, I’m very, very strange about my cake preferences, no fruit-filled centers, and no german chocolate.

  4. have chinese food.

  5. Go horseback riding again that was fun the first time I did that at my friend’s house a couple years ago. Of course it wasn’t the first time I’ve been horseback riding, but it was the first time I’ve done it on my birthday.

OK, this all won’t happen this year, but I’m sure the chinese food and maybe the cake will.
blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

Oh... never mind...

Gmail is just not cooperating with me! I’m wondering if the one I’m trying to send is too big or something, I’ve restarted and everything, but yeah. Maybe I’m doing something wrong that I’m not realizing… If I can upload them somewhere and post a link you’ll get them, if not well… maybe sometime next week.
OK, here’s a link let’s see if this works: http://min.us/mcFVLVo It’s a site that specializes in simple image sharing, so hope it works.
blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

Pictures on the way.

OK, so I’m sitting in gmail trying to exit out of the “attach more files” form, and it seems that it has given up on me. So, um, as soon as I can get to where I can type text into the body of the message and hit send, then I’ll post them. So, this is just a placeholder! The post might come pretty fast though and throw the whole thing off, consider it an extra one OK?
blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

another list.

OK, what’s my favorite thing to do right now? make lists apparently! I like making lists anyway, so here comes another one.

  1. I just turned on the TV to watch 48 hours mysteries.

  2. I think I might publish the rest of the pictures of me doing the happy dance in the next post.

  3. Then, I’ll attempt to upload them to facebook.

  4. I think I’ll break into the candy again soon, maybe try something different this time.

  5. I just dumped my AC drainage bucket for the first time today, (my AC makes water from air and I have a bucket that it drips into, it was full.)

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

Oh... hey... here comes my posting time...

Woosh! that’s my posting time flying right by. A question:
When was the last time you were at a bus station? I went to the Oregon school for the blind from 2001 until 2004, the school was, (as it no longer exists,) in a city 2 hours away from here by car, 3-4 and a half hours from here by bus. It was 4 and a half hours on the way home, because they stopped in more places. I commuted back and forth from there to here on Grayhound for 3 years. So the last time I was at a bus station was well… in 2006, when I took a trip to NYC with my aunt and uncle from Maine, (I flew to Maine from Portland, and we rode the bus to NYC.) But the last time I rose the bus regularly was in 2004, when I graduated from the school for the blind.

A question/list.

Name 5 things in your freezer.

  1. Ice cream.

  2. Ice cream bars.

  3. 2 leftover chocolate covered bananas.

  4. Hamburger buns.

  5. Hotdogs.

  6. Bacon.

  7. Cheese, (I freeze my cheese it lasts longer that way.)

  8. Frozen dinners.

Those are just the things I could remember or tell right away from both freezers, I have both a chest freezer and a freezer attached to my fridge. Yeah, that was more than 5.

Mark went to bed.

About an hour and 20 minutes ago, actually, but I’m just getting to posting it now. I’m no longer chatting on live messenger with anyone, but I’m still everywhere right now. Still on facebook, still on twitter, still trying to keep up with following blogs, and email. Multitasking is fun! It really is, for some reason, I’m not shure why. I know, I’m probably the only one who finds it fun right? But I’m a very strange person. Maybe I’ll break out the questions again or make a list or something, not that I have a lack of inspiration right now, for some reason I’m doing well with that this year.

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

Woops!

Dominos gave me breadsticks instead of sinasticks. Not what I ordered, but it was a pleasant surprise.
The pizza and breadsticks were both very good! Oh, and I have a question for anyone who wanders by here, what’s your favorite pizza topping? I’m sure I’ll break into the candy again, and maybe even have ice cream later!

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

the official and obligatory pizza post!

So I ordered pizza, it came, and I was in the middle of eating when I realized oh… wait… better check the time! I got pepperoni and mushroom this time, I can’t remember what I got last year, maybe it was the same thing. I had to go down and meet the delivery guy, he rang the bell, and I pressed the button to let him in, but it somehow failed on both of us. So I ran downstairs and met him, then came back up carrying my pizza. I’ve lived here in this apartment for 5 years now, and I don’t remember ever having to go down and meet a professional delivery person, OK if it’s mom or a friend yeah sure. Time to post!

I'm not a fan of lateness!

But here I am late again. I actually posted that post at 6:11, not 6:06, so I’m not as late as it looks, but I’m still late. I take after my mom, who’s late a lot, (I won’t say always late.)

Dear facebook friends...

I’m sure some of you would like me to be banned from facebook right now, but please, please don’t report me for this! I know I’ve posted that link quite a few times, and Kim told me I should do it one more time. She was right and I agreed, so I did it. I’m sorry if you feel I’m being spammy or overly pitchy, but please forgive me for the next oh… wait hmm… 12 hours! OK? Thanks and have a nice day,
Your friend Noelle.

Mark asked me a question.

Mark asked me a question on formspring last night, so I’m going to answer it here, just because I’m now officially late, and it’s fun, and all that stuff.
If you could be any other nationality besides American, what would it be? I think I’d like to be british, although I’m not sure why, maybe it’s because I’ve heard all sorts of good things about the country, and maybe it’s just because there are more chocolate shops in lundon than there are here, who knows? I was going to take the easy way out and say Canadian, but I decided not to.
blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

This is how dense I am.

I left a comment on Annas blog and literally asked her, “does this mean you’ll be done before us in the US?” Um… my problem is that I’m not keeping track of the amount of posts and she is, so I thought that I’ve probably done less posting than her for some reason, I have no idea why! Yeah, I’ll admit it, I’ve never been outside the country, I’d like to get to that someday, but I’m not sure when, so I have no idea how to exchange USD for Euros on my own, without the currency converter thingy helping me, and apparently I can’t keep track of the number of posts I’ve done.
blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

I came to a decision and stuck with it.

I’ve come to a decision on of all things, what to try from my epic nutsonline.com order package that well, has held up considerably well here given the heat the pat 3 days or so. I tried both kinds of malted milk balls that I ordered. I ordered both peanut butter and ultimate ones, and the peanut butter ones were good, they were what I expected though, peanut butter covered malted milk balls. The ultimate ones were richer than I’ve ever had before, because they’re coated in milk, dark and white chocolate. the 10 year old in me is saing try everything else and review it here! But, um, well… I might end up sick at the end of the night, and I definitely don’t want to be sick! I only had 2 of each, so don’t worry! I’m not eating the whole bag or anything like that.

Updating totals.

My friend Linda donated $10, and I did an extra long twist for her! Wish someone was here to take a picture, but I only have the pictures that were taken in Kim’s office. So yay for Linda! Thanks to her, I’m up to $70!

Time is strange sometimes!

So I’m now starting to loos track of time. What time did I post that, really? I know what blogger says, but what time did I really post that last one? I forget to go in to the post options link and change the time to the true time that the post was posted, instead of when I started working on it. That’s what blogger pulls, I think, the system time when you started working on the post, not when you hit publish. So, I’m now going into post options and changing it so I don’t loos track next time!

A couple of my favorite bible passages.

I thought after my post on captchas, I should post something well… a bit more positive. So, here are a couple of my favorite bible passages:
Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
that isn’t the whole chapter, that’s verses 1-8
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
OK, that’s it for those, maybe I’ll post favorite quotes later, although I’ve probably done plenty of that.
PS I looked these up on bible gateway

A guest post.

Title says it all, so you know that I’m not Noelle. I’m Mark, so if this shows up as Noelle, blame Blogger. Anyway, I’m one of Noelle’s friends, and perhaps some of you reading this may know me, but then, perhaps not. I’m here because Noelle tossed some questions my way and I, being the good friend that I am, as well as being a guest poster here, answered them to the best of my ability. So, here they are.

1. Write a paragraph about 10 minutes of your morning, writing it in the 3rd person.
Mark gets up around 5 AM, drinks his first cup of coffee and eats a small breakfast while reading various things, including blogs, email, and daily Bible reading. During this time, he also checks Twitter. This includes direct messages and mentions, of course! This encompasses more than the specified ten minutes, but after all this is done, he goes for a walk.
2. If you were going on american idol what would you sing?
Probably Clocks by Coldplay.
3. Name something you do that might be considered eccentric:
I’m a verbal thinker, so I tend to talk to myself.
4. If you were an FDA approved drug, what would your possible side effects include?
Strong urge to sing, strong desire for chocolate, constantly changing musical tastes.
5. When telemarketers call you, do they mispronounce your last name?
Better believe it! That’s how we know they’re telemarketers!

So that’s that. I hope you all are doing well. :)

The post that I was going to post last time, before blogger decided to error out.

Here’s a list of random things:

  1. Facebook is being mean to me, I tried to share the post from mom, and it’s making me solve captchas of the most evil kind! I’m not talking about those nice blogger captchas, either. I’m talking about the audio captchas that just don’t work, and tcaptchas that webvisum, ( my captcha solving firefox extension won’t find for me.)

  2. I loved mom’s story that she wrote!

  3. It’s almost lunch time for me.

  4. I need to do some links later.

  5. My friend Mark will be coming up next with answers to the questions I gave him!

  6. So far today, I’ve been trying to keep up with other participants, leaving comments on blogs, tweeting, posting and chatting on facebook, chatting on live with Mark, and if I had a Google+ account, I’d add that into the mix!

I'm late again!

OK, I had a post all ready and then blogger errored out on me… seriously? What’s going on here?
blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

A story about how CaringBridge helps, directly from my mom.

OK, I have it now! I’d like to thank mom for putting her time and effort into this. Yeah, I know I’m early, I couldn’t wait.
Last October, we were hunting in eastern Oregon when there was a loud pop inside my head behind my right eye, I immediately lost my vision, in seconds my vision returned & there was another pop in my head, at which time I collapsed in the middle of the road. 3 hours later we arrived @ the first hospital & after tests being conducted were told I had multiple brain aneurysms & they would life flight me by helicopter to a larger hospital in Boise, Idaho. Of course we were stunned & wondering if I would survive this. My husband contacted the family who all began their journey to the hospital. Someone mentioned the Caring Bridge website to my daughters as a way to keep family & friends updated during my hospitalization. My youngest daughter checked out the site & started the process. In this day & age of technology it is a wonderful source to be able to read all the heartfelt comments. It was truly the love from those comments that helped my healing. There are always people you lose contact with in life, and those who are not immediate family that wouldn’t even know what was happening without Caring Bridge. My daughter was able to update daily or as often as she wanted to, to keep everyone abreast of the situation. People I hadn’t even spoken with in recent months were commenting on the site. I would happily recommend this site to anyone. Friends & family can check the site daily for new updates & give write their comments & wishes for the injured to read. It is most amazing the way if lifts the spirits of the entire family. What a blessing for someone to come up with this site. We will always be forever grateful to have had the experience of using this wonderful site.

Still waiting...

Last weekend, I asked mom if she’d like to write her aneurism story for this here blogathon, she said yes she would. I asked her on Friday of last week, (not yesterday, but the Friday before that.) I figured that would give her enough time. Then yesterday, she asked me to ask my sister to write it, I did, but I still haven’t received anything from them yet. So, it will be posted when received. I’m not sure how to have mom or my sister post here, because of the blogger/google accounts thing, theoretically, you’re supposed to be able to add email addresses from any provider, but then how would they log in without me having to explain open ID to them?
PS, that picture post through off my schedule, I’m technically not 10 minutes early, if I count that premature post as the one I was supposed to make at the time.

This is me doing the happy dance, (take 2!)

this is me doing the happy dance in my friend Kim’s office, I couldn’t
exactly get synchronized with the pictures she was taking until the
last one, so hopefully it turns out OK. These pictures are straight
out of the camera, (with some rotating,) so they’re flippin big! I
hope blogger lets me post these!

This is me, doing the happy dance!

OK, um that was premature, when I pressed the browse button to look for the picture, it pressed send instead! So, let’s try that again! But hey, at least I’m not as late as I was going to be.

Updating my totals and such.

So if I’m posting a little early, it’s because I’m excited! Sue has donated $5, (thanks sue!) so that brings my total to $45 raised. You can donate as little or as much as you want, and I’ll still break out the happy dance for you, (seriously… I have pictures!) I think I’ll post one in the next one, or maybe I’ll wait… I can’t decide. While FirstGiving will tell me how much I’ve raised, I had probelms with the flash widget, so I’ll be posting the totals by hand. I’m glad I don’t have to collect receipts though!
PS, I’m getting everyone’s comments, but blogger refuses to let me sign in to reply, so if I don’t reply, don’t worry. Thanks for leaving them though, they’ve all been appreciated, read and published!

OK, I'll admit something right here and now.

I’m sure everyone knows the feeling of when there’s pressure on you to do something, and you fail epicly at it? Well… that’s what happened to me last night with sleep. Blame the heat for that one… OK? Because it was majorly, majorly hot in my bedroom last night. I did sleep, but it was probably 4 or 5 hours worth. Which has actually been enough for me in the past at times, so I’m just hoping that adrenalin will take over. I’m far from being tired right now!

500 and counting!

I’ve hit 500 posts on this blog already! I knew it would come sometime during blogathon, and I believe it was either my 2nd or 3rd post in, but I can’t be exactly sure. I used twitwoop to call over the phone, hello 2009, it’s good to see you again, (LOL!) 2009 was the year twitwoop launched, I believe. I really don’t want to get charged international rates, so I’ll probably only do that once, because getting charged international rates wouldn’t be fun! Cell phone bills are high anyway, please don’t charge me international rates, thanks!

Here's that link and other stuff.

So here’s the link I promised: http://opendiary.com/odahq I’m posting this at the time I I actually posted, which was 7:26, not 7:21. My service that I use to record audio tweets is having major errors at this point, so I’m in the process of signing up for another one, because I want to be able to audio tweet during blogathon! Worst case, it could be coming from over the phone, which I hope doesn’t happen, but it might have to if the thing I’m signing up for won’t work. By the way, I’m on twitter as @webgurl, if anyone wants to follow, or just click the link that the twitter updates widget has, and you’ll find me.

In preparation for blogathon.

So a question was asked on the alternathon diary, (I’ll link to it in the next post because I’m almost late!) “What do you do to get ready for blogathon? So I left a note over there, but it’s only allowed to be 400 characters, so I’m going to make a list of the things I did, (just for fun!)

  1. Forward my domain, so I could cancel my server, (this had nothing to do with it, but I did it at the beginning of the month, so it counts.)

  2. Set up the FirstGivving ppage.

  3. Posted on facebook about a hundred times.

  4. Created a facebook event.

  5. Went grocery shopping Wednesday.

  6. Fixed the parts of the blog that somehow were broken during the domain forward.

  7. Made post signatures, etc.

  8. collected a whole bunch of questions, (I have 1084 questions in a file!

  9. Made a list of post ideas.

Sorry I’m late! Must click publish!

My bible reading plan.

So I’m reading the bible in a year using http://bibleinayear.org They send me 2-4 chapters every day. I’m still in the old testament, in Isaiah. You can choose the plan and the translation when you sign up at the beginning of the year. I attempted this in 2006, but got so far behind that I gave up. I haven’t gotten behind yet, although I didn’t have time this morning, I’ve archived the email for today, and will read it later. I’m going to do this next year, reading the new testament first, then the old testament, and will probably use the NIV. Right now I have it set as the NKJV, (New King James version,) but I can always go in and change that.

blogging for: CaringBridgeclick to donate

My total so far, and other stuff.

So I forgot to talk about my total so far, which is $40. Thanks to a donation from my friend Kim! Of course I’d like to have that total raised when I’m done. I’ve already planned a few things for today, my friend Mark will answer 5 questions that I gave him last night, and he’ll post them here himself this time. My mom/sister is sending me something about mom’s aneurism to post, and I have other plans for the 24 hours. So now I must click publish!

Let's get this party started!

I’m up and ready to start the blogathon! I got up at 5, so I’ve been up for about an hour now. Just in case anyone doesn’t know, (and who won’t find out because it’s in the post signature, right?) This year I’m blogging for CaringBridge, which is the site we used to keep everyone updated and connected while mom was in the hospital recovering from having 5 brain aneurisms. I have no theme this year, I’ve decided to wing it. This was an easy reason at first I couldn’t come up with anything, but now it’s a strategic reason, there are no constraints. I’ve winged it twice before and I think it went well both times. This will count as my blog 365 post for today, and the last one will count for tomorrow.

Testing post signatures, and T minus a day.

I just made post signatures like I did last year. So, I’m testing them to see if they work. The big day is tomorrow! This will probably count as my blog 365 post, because I don’t intend to get back here today. So, sorry for the short post, but you’ll get plenty of posts tomorrow! I think I’ve decided that my first and last ones will count for blog 365, so that I won’t have to come back here on Sunday. I’ll be back on monday though, and this is probably the first time I’ll be blogging so soon after. PS I think I’m actually going to add the widgets that I talked about last night, or at least the RSS one. So yeah, more widgets take up more space, I know this, but yeah. I did end up adding the RSS feed widget, but adding the follow by email widget has already taken up too much of my time, so I decided not to do it.

Oops!

I was eating dinner, and I realized I forgot to post! I usually like to post before dinner, but I’m glad I realized it before I forgot! I finally fixed the blog list widget, I moved it down to wear it should go when I add it, (but because I can’t drag it down there, it doesn’t go on it’s own.) So I actually have to go into the HTML editor and page through a bunch of CSS and strange stuff that blogger uses, (they should seriously use straight HTML!) before I found the one line that’s the widget. It just takes a while, that’s all, although I suppose it’s good practice. Every time I add a widget, (well almost every time,) I have to tweak it like that. I was going to add a couple more things today, but decided to skip those, because I have to do that every time. I used to have an RSS feed widget on here, that went away, and I’ve been wanting to add a follow by email widget. Maybe I’ll get to those tomorrow, (while I make the post signatures,) or maybe not.

Pre-flight grocery shopping!

So today was grocery shopping day, (take 2.) I’m not going to go grocery shopping for a couple weeks, (because of when the first falls this time,) and I needed to get a few things anyway, (mainly cereal and Tylenol PM.) I already have instant coffee from last year, that’s still perfectly good and hasnt expired yet, (I asked my friend to check the date, and it’s good until next year!) I have enough excedrin, (hopefully I won’t have to take it!) So, I think I have everything I need for this weekend, (and then some!) As far as the list of things to do goes, I think I’m almost finished with that too, I just have to make a couple minor tweaks to the blog, (changing the date on the post back to 7/2, and moving that blog list widget.) Then I think the list will be complete!

My day at the VA.

Today was one of those days. I actually didn’t get anything done, because when I went to launch either excel or word, the computer crashed 3 times, (crash as in, “blue screen of death” crash.) We had to call the IT guy to come and try and fix it, and we never really figured out what the problem was. He booted it into safe mode, and it didn’t do that for him. He then tried reinstalling office, and that didn’t fix it. He unplugged the 2nd monitor, just in case JAWS conflicts with dual monitors, (which it normally does, as we found out on my first day.) But that wasn’t the probelm. He decided that we needed to reinstall JAWS, but he couldn’t find the VA’s disk, so he told me I could leave. I waited for paratransit for a while, then I left.

Taking a break from weekly links.

At least for a couple weeks, I wasn’t ready this week, I won’t be ready next week, but I should be ready the week after that! I’m hoping that I’ll find more links, so that there will be a bigger edition of weekly links.

Today.

I went to church this morning. After church, I came home and streamed the twit live studio moving party thingy. twit live has a new studio that they built, and today was the day for them to move in. Their new studio is just a couple blocks away from the old one, so they walked down the street, (it was almost like a parade, except they didn’t have bagpipes.) They actually did stream the walk, then they flipped the switch and started streaming from their new studio. They can actually have space for 50 people in the studio, so it’s like having a live audience. Then they did twit, and another show afterwards.

Saturday 7 45

7 random things, because it’s fun!

  1. I can’t wait for next weekend!

  2. I’m going to church tomorrow, we’re going to first service.

  3. I get to go grocery shopping again on wednesday. I’m not going grocery shopping until the middle of next month, and I need some stuff before then, so we’re going Wednesday.

  4. I asked mom if she’d like to post something next weekend, and she said she’d think about it.

  5. It’s warm in here right now, I had the AC on earlier, but turned it off for a little bit.

  6. I’m not even close to being ready for weekly links, I could skip it this week, but I think I’d rather skip it next week when I definitely won’t be ready!

  7. When I went to lunch with my friend yesterday, she asked me if I’d be going to church next weekend. I said no, I never have made it to church the morning after, although I did try once a couple years ago.

Skipping IComLeavWe, and other stuff.

I actually didn’t mean to skip it, but I completely forgot that Wednesday was the deadline to sign up for IComLeavWe. I had lunch with my friend Kim today, after lunch we went to her office. While we were at her office, she donated $40 for blogathon! I told her not to tell me how much she was going to donate, because I was hoping to get an email when I got home. She then posted the link on facebook. When I came home, I saw the facebook email first, I replied back before I knew how much she actually donated. Then I saw the total and was like… whoa! While we were at her office, she took 4 pictures of me doing the happy dance, (this was after she donated,) because I said I wouldn’t sing, but I really do want to break out the happy dance at some point next weekend! So now I have pictures of me doing the twists to publish! So far, (thanks to Kim,) my total is $40! We went to a mexican restaurant for lunch, then stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home.

OK, it's time to make that list!

I just received my package from NutsOnline about an hour ago, so it’s time to make the list of what I ordered.

  1. strawberry sour straws.

  2. Green apple sour straws.

  3. Peach rings.

  4. Apple rings.

  5. Ultimate malted milk balls, these are covered in white, dark and milk chocolate, and they sounded good, so hopefully they will be!

  6. Chocolate covered gummy bear clusters, like the ones I had on my trip to SF in 2009, they come in a cluster instead of individual ones. The only problem with these is that the bag came open in shipping.

  7. Peanut butter malted milk balls, they’re covered in peanut butter instead of chocolate, again these just sounded good.

  8. Jolly ranchers, as in the assorted kind.

  9. Airheads.

  10. Blue raspberry rings.

The package arrived in perfect condition, making me a very happy UPS 3 day select customer! With the exception of one thing coming open, everything was fine, nothing was melted at all!

I lost my internet.

I lost my internet for a while today, I was streaming twit live and all of a sudden noticed it wasn’t streaming. I went to refresh the page to bring it back, (because that usually works,) and I didn’t have internet. Oh well, better today than 10 days from now! In fact, I’m kind of glad I did loos my internet today, so I have a better chance of nothing happening then. I hardly ever loos my internet maybe once or twice a year, 3 times at the most, and it usually doesn’t last all that long, although this one lasted about 3 hours. Speeking of 10 days from now, well we’re in the final countdown!

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

Last night and today.

I went to the VA this morning, and came home early like usual. I did the weekly project, and they didn’t have anything for me to do after that, so I came home. I didn’t have any success at sleep last night, I tossed and turned the whole time, I got up and went and tried again a couple different times. I’m hoping I have success with that tonight!

Weekly links for 7/18

I actually have more than one link this time, I have 3! So here they are.

  • FeedDude RSS feed creator.

  • Cue YouTube Create YouTube playlists without logging in.

  • tildee Create tutorials, OK this is a bit of a weird one!

Sunday, July 17, 2011

A question

How do you like to sleep? Well, I usually sleep on my side, but lately, it’s been whatever position I can manage to stay in longest. So, I guess right now it all depends.
Via that’s my answer
I didn’t do much today, but I think I’m ready for weekly links tomorrow! I think I’ll have 3 links instead of 4 though, but whatever. Oh yeah, and Google+ looks cool, and I wish I could have an invite! But invites are probably hard to come by, I’m sure.

Saturday, July 16, 2011

Saturday 7 44

OK, I’m not going to make that list of everything I ordered, because I’d have to dig out the receipt, and I don’t really want to do that right now. So instead, 7 random things.

  1. Shipping sucks sometimes! They’re telling me I absolutely have to pay $42 to ship 2nd day air for my chocolate to survive, and I think that’s flippin ridiculous!

  2. I’m not going to church tomorrow, because my friend is going out of town, and my other friend… well… just doesn’t want to go… because it’s summer!

  3. Maybe I can spend my time tomorrow getting ready for weekly links, because I’m not ready at all!

  4. Maybe I can also spend my time fixing the other things that need fixed on the blog.

  5. Actually, I really don’t know what I’m going to do tomorrow.

  6. I have my AC on right now, it isn’t that hot outside, but it got warm in here today, for some reason.

  7. It’s almost time for dinner!

Friday, July 15, 2011

The nuts online order of epic proportions!

So I absolutely love nuts online, and apparently, I love them enough to spend $64! Because that’s what I just did! OK OK, everything is by the pound, and yep… I probably went a bit crazy, (I ended up getting 10 items!) I’ve been wanting to do an order from there for a while, and I had a long list, so yeah, that’s why I got 10 items. I could make the list and tell everyone what I got, and I might do that tomorrow, or some other time. I did get 3 things that could melt while in transit, and no, I definitely didn’t pay an extra $42 for them to ship second day air… because that would just be ridiculous! I just did regular, UPS ground shipping with heat resistant packaging. I’ve wanted to make a trip to the candy store for a while, (like I did last year around this time,) but instead, I just went to the online candy store, which although not as fun at the time, works just as well.

Thursday, July 14, 2011

Thursday 2 questions.

1) When you landed on a website, do you scrolling down all the way to the bottom just to see what else the blog has to offer? If I find the content interesting, I usually do. Maybe not all the way to the bottom, but I usually read other posts.

2) Do you comment on older posts? I have before, but I don’t make it a habit or anything.

Via Wandering Thought
I fixed my RSS feed today. The URL for the feed got switched when I forwarded my domain to blogspot. here is the link to the feed. It seems doing that bit of domain forwarding pretty much broke everything, which definitely isn’t fun! There are widgets that are still broken, mainly the followers widget, so I need to delete it, then add it again.

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Today.

I actually didn’t do much today, but I did go to the bank. I actually got to make a deposit, so that was nice! Mom borrowed some money from me like 3 months ago, and she just now paid it back. I don’t have to go to the VA tomorrow, because I’m only going in once a week. I guess I’m glad I’m only going in once a week, because I had to leave early on Tuesday, because they didn’t have enough work for me.

Tuesday, July 12, 2011

Today.

I went to the VA today, and came home early. Not that early, though. I ended up waiting for paratransit for about a half hour. I did the weekly project, which took me way longer than usual, because I had to list everything. So I didn’t end up getting home until about 11:15, even though I was done at like 10:30. They came at about 11 to pick me up. Someone invited me to a national water gun fight on facebook on the 30th, but I think I’ll be just a bit busy on that day, so I’m not attending. Facebook events are strange, my friend told me to create one for blogathon, and I did and some people aren’t attending, which is weird, because I was just using events as a way to make sure it got to everyone.

Monday, July 11, 2011

Weekly links for 7/11

Actually, it’s one single weekly link. I had 3 links, but decided not to use the other 2, because one didn’t work, and the other one was cool, but kind of weird, (maybe I’ll link to it later.) So, here’s the link for today:
ImageDumpr This is basically an image host, upload images, and share them pretty much anywhere. Why did I link to this? Because I’m looking for this exact thing! Yeah, I could just use flickr, but I don’t take the pictures, and anything owned by Yahoo is well… let’s just say bad at times. Delicious is the only good thing Yahoo does now, and they’re getting sold sometime this month. So there ya go, that’s the link for this week.

Sunday, July 10, 2011

A question

Are you watching the Casey Anthony trial? Or did I, because it’s over now. I did a little bit when I was sick, and just after that. So that was starting at the end of last month. I was innitially not wanting to watch it, because I hadn’t started watching it from the beginning. With the way some trials go, it’s hard to catch up sometimes, although this one was fairly easy.
Via that’s my answer
I’m still in the process of fixing things here, I need to add a couple more things, and apparently, I need to fix my RSS feed.

Saturday, July 9, 2011

Picture post!

First of all, I’m skipping Saturday 7 today, because of a bad night
last night, (sleep-wise.) Here are the pictures that were taken last
weekend. There’s one of me in the raft, rowing by myself, while my
friend’s husband is in the other boat with a rope attached. There’s
one of a group of us playing uno at the barbicue, and one of me
stacking the dominos up like jenga pieces. I’m sending these by email,
so hopefully they all get posted.

Friday, July 8, 2011

I missed it!

So I was actually going to get up early today, to watch the last shuttle launch. I didn’t end up getting up until about 7:30 though, and I completely forgot the reason why I was getting up early in the first place. I actually wasn’t sure what time it was supposed to launch, but the TV coverage started at 7, so I thought I’d be up before then! Of course, I didn’t remember why I wanted to get up early, until I was sitting in the chiropractor’s office! Why is it that I seem to remember things while I’m sitting there, waiting for my turn to be adjusted? After that my friend and I came back here to make chocolate covered bananas, I got like 5 bananas that were perfect, then the chocolate started to thicken. My friend resorted to spreading the chocolate over the bananas, and then putting them in the freezer, we were dipping them first. I was dipping them in and holding them up in the chocolate, and she was making sure they were semi-evenly coated. Then we went on facebook to look at pictures, I got all the ones I want to post, and will probably post them sometime over the weekend. About 6 hours later, the bananas turned out pretty well, they’re mostly solidified, we used hershey bars, instead of baking/melting chocolate, or chocolate chips. I can’t wait to try one!

Thursday, July 7, 2011

Fixing things.

I finally managed to remove the IComLeavWe widget that’s been there for a couple months now. I also removed the blog list, because for some reason after I forwarded my domain, it just stopped working. I went to add it again, but things weren’t quite cooperating, and I decided that I should probably eat dinner sometime tonight. I’ll try adding that, and adding a couple more things tomorrow. I finally discovered how to download pictures on facebook… um… there’s a download link there! I think I knew that at some point, but I just didn’t remember. I’ve downloaded a couple pictures from the ones my friend took last weekend, and I’m waiting for mom and her to tag me in more so I can then reupload them to my picture album, and post them here. I can’t attest to the quality, (I think facebook doesn’t give you the original pictures,) so they might be lower quality than they should be.

Wednesday, July 6, 2011

Today and yesterday.

I didn’t do much today, but my friend and I attempted to make chocolate covered bananas. The only problem was that they didn’t freeze by the time she left, so she’s coming back on Friday, (when we go to the chiropractor,) to finish the process. I have 2 freezers, a freezer that’s built-in to my fridge, and an extra chest freezer. The freezer I have built into my fridge doesn’t freeze that fast I guess, because we left them in there for a long while, and they still weren’t frozen. Of course they’re frozen now, but they’ll just have to wait. Yesterday at the VA, I did my weekly project, then put paper in the shredder hole thingy. This week I start going in once a week, so I don’t have to go in on Thursday! Tomorrow I think I’m going to take a bit of time to work on the blog, there are some things that need fixed, and some widgets that need added, and one that needs to be removed. I’m still waiting for pictures from last weekend, my friend says she’s looking for the best ones, but asked me to right click and save everything, instead of her having to send them to me. That doesn’t work, I’ve tried it before, often times I don’t end up saving the picture, it ends up being something else. It doesn’t exactly say where the picture is on the page, so it’s sort of hard to find.

Happy 4th of july!

First of all, I’m defering weekly links until tomorrow, (I actually do have links this time!) But I’ll be leaving in a couple hours to go to the barbicue and won’t get back until like 11 tonight, because we’re going to the fireworks. I hope everyone reading has a happy 4th of July! I’m also hoping that I’ll have pictures of today and yesterday’s events some time soon, (but I’m not sure when my friend is going to send them to me.)

Sunday, July 3, 2011

I had fun today!

So yeah I skipped Saturday 7 yesterday, then I was going to do it today, (well, a Sunday version of it, because I’ve actually done that once before.) I didn’t realize I’d be gone all day today, after church my friend and I went to the lake for a picnic with her husband, his brother, his wife and a couple of their friends. My friend’s husband and his brother both have boats, one is a raft, and the other is a pontoon boat. My friend’s husband took me out in his brother’s raft, with a rope attached from the raft to the pontoon boat. This way, I could row, but no one was in the boat with me. My friend said she took some good pictures, so I’m hoping to put those on facebook soon, and if she emails them to me, maybe I’ll post a few this way, (if I remember.) Tomorrow I get to go to a 4th of July barbicue at her house, (which should also be much fun!)

Blogathon/alternathon 2011.

So provided I’ve given all the correct information, and didn’t forget to list anything, I’ve signed up to participate in ODAHQ which stands for Open Diary Alternathon Headquarters. The event will take place on July 30th, from 6 AM pacific time, to 6 AM on the 31st. This year I’ve decided to blog for Caring Bridge, which is what we used last year when mom had her aneurisms. CaringBridge allows patient’s families to create websites, so that friends and relatives can be updated on their progress, as well as to leave messages of support for them. While mom was in the hospital, we posted to her CaringBridge page multiple times a day, and we received comments from mom’s friends from work, extended family members and others. If anyone would like to donate, (and that would be the coolest thing ever!) I’ve set up a firstgiving page, (it’s my first time using firstgiving, so I hope I didn’t mess it up!) for the event. It’s right here Firstgiving allows you to donate directly to CaringBridge, it will track the totals raised for me. I have a direct link to my firstgiving donation form, that’s here: https://www.firstgiving.com/process/EGGDonate/Default.asp
As for a theme, I have some ideas, but haven’t decided on one yet, who knows, maybe I’ll end up winging it, I’ve had lots of fun with that! I promise I won’t sing this time, unless someone asks me to! I had fun singing really early in the morning last year, (I don’t exactly remember what time it was!) Singing should probably be left to those who can actually sing! Well this is getting kind of long, so I better publish it!
PS, I’m changing the date on this post so it stays at the top of the page, this was my blog 365 post for 7/2.

A question

Have you ever seen the Space Shuttle launch in person? The closest I’ve came is a simulated launch at space camp, and that was a lot of fun! I’d love to go, but um… that would require me getting to Florda before 7/8, and I already have some plans for this month, (although they don’t include a trip to Florida.)
Via that’s my answer
Today was grocery shopping and rent paying day here. I forgot to call in my prescriptions until about an hour before we left, so I think we’ll be getting them on Sunday after church.
