Late Saturday 7!

Yep, it’s Sunday, so it’s technically Sunday 7, but whatever. I decided not to do this last night after I got back from my parent’s house, so I’m doing it today.
7 things I got for Christmas.

  1. My UPS! Mine died last month and I needed a new one, so I got one!

  2. A fleese blanket for my bed.

  3. Cookie cutters, I only have 4, so I asked for more.

  4. A gift certificate to sees candy! Grandma couldn’t remember what to get.

  5. 2 boxes of sees, one from a friend, and the other one from mom. When I go to sees I have a long list, I usually just make a custom thing, but since I like sees I’ll take anything I get!

  6. shirts, 4 of them to be exact.

  7. Socks.

Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to wish everyone reading this a merry Christmas! I’ll be going to my parent’s this afternoon. I’m hoping I’ll be back tomorrow night, so that I can go to church on Sunday. I plan to skip Saturday 7 this week. I won’t be bringing my laptop to my parent’s house, so I won’t be able to blog. If I have time, (and I remember,) I’ll do it when I come back.

Weekly links for 12/23

This week’s links are again about a single thing, but not the same thing they were about last week. This week, it’s all about delicious alternatives. I use delicious to do weekly links almost every week. not only do I use it to bookmark stuff I like, I use it for exploration, to find sites other people have bookmarked that I might want to link to. So, here they are.

  • Is Yahoo about to kill Delicious? from Venturebeat.

  • delicious blog There’s a post on the delicious blog in which Yahoo tries to explain that they aren’t going to kill delicious… just sell it, ok… whatever Yahoo.

  • pinboard This isn’t free, the cost varies depending on how many users there are.

  • diigo does a lot more than bookmarking, lets you highlight web pages too. I used this one time but I really don’t need the extra features.

  • historious This also isn’t free, although they do have a limited free option, (you can have up to 300 bookmarks.

  • 1r7 I just found this today, it’s pretty simple.. this and pinboard are the ones I want to try first.

Very, very late weekly links!

I was originally going to combine weekly links with Saturday 7 this week. But I wasn’t ready to post them when Saturday came around. That’s because my weekly links are about one thing this week, wiki leaks. I have so many links that I’m not sure I can summarize everything and keep the list short, but I’m going to try.

I had many, many more links that I could have posted, and if I would have, the list would have been much longer.

Blog 365

There used to be this thing called blog 365, where you tried to blog every single day for a year. As far as I know, the site doesn’t exist anymore, but I’d still like to give it a try. So, starting 1/1/2011, I’m going to try and blog every day… for the whole year! I’m not saying I’m going to be successful, because I can sometimes be lackluster about blogging. But I’m sure going to try!

Saturday 7 21.

Yep, it’s actually 21 this time. I decorated my tree today, with the help of a friend and her boyfriend. 7 Christmas decorations I put up.

  1. My tree, I absolutely love decorating Christmas trees! I didn’t get to do it last year because I knew we wouldn’t have time, what with our bay area adventure.

  2. Garland, I have garland hanging in one of my windows with ornaments hanging from it.

  3. A snowman that hangs on my door.

  4. A stocking that usually sits on top of my desk, this is where it is now.

  5. This angel ornament that I have, the tree was already done and it was too heavy, (no space left on the bottom,) so it went on a door handle.

  6. The Christmas tree advent calendar that my grandma gave me last week when she was here, (which was already hung up.)

  7. I really like these ornaments I put on my tree, officially they have no name, but I call them, “long twisties.”
