I posted a set of blank questions earlier for Phelan, and here are her answers

2. You can only put four songs in your iPod, or MP3 player, what four songs will you choose? Hmm. Good one! 3. 5 things underneath your bed. My JAWS For Windows box, an old tape recorder, a broken banjo, my laptop case, and a box of Windows disks from God only knows when! lol

Blank questions for Phelan

Phelan offered to answer some questions for me. So, here they come.

  1. What is your favorite quote?

  2. What event in history that occurred during your lifetime do you most vividly remember?

  3. List 5 things about your hair.

  4. Describe your very first job.

  5. What was your last purchase? It can be online or from in-store. Groceries, clothes, makeup, etc?

OK, these are some weird ones! Anyone else up for questions?

Between facebook chatting with my friend, updating totals, and the live chats I have going, I managed to be late again. I’m going to eat lunch now, so will be back in a half an hour. Sorry about that!

A little break from the questions.

I’m almost late so I just need to post all quick like! I just heard from my friend, (the one that I went to visit a few weeks ago,) that she donated. I don’t have her receipt, but I’ll update totals when I get them! Update on totals! I still don’t have the receipt, but my friend told me she donated $25! Wow… that’s really cool! I mean like supercool!

So, with mom’s donation of $10, plus the pledge of $10, (which makes $20,) this makes $45! Wow!

Flcomputergeek's answers to my earlier blank questions.

1. How many hours of sleep do you get a night? How many would you like to get?

Webgurl must notice the occasional tweets about sleep or lack thereof. I generally sleep in 3-hour increments. Regardless of when I go to bed, I’ll sleep 3 hours, be awake 4 or 5 hours, then sleep another 2 or 3 hours. So that would total, what, 5 hours, maybe 6? but it isn’t restful. Ideally, I’d love to get 7 or 8 hours of sleep uninterrupted.

2. What would you wait all day in line for?

Can’t think of anything I’d be willing to wait in line all day for. I don’t think I have a lot of patience for waiting.

3. What are three things that you are looking forward to?

Nothing really significant at this moment. I lead a boring life.

4. What moment in time would you have most liked to witness?

hmm. I think it would have been neat to witness Christ’s resurrection, or Christ’s birth, or any number of things in the Bible.

5. What’s the longest car ride you’ve ever taken?

I can remember a few 14-hour car rides. I really don’t travel well by car anymore.

If anyone else would like me to ask them questions send an email to Or if you would like to ask me questions, send an email with the questions in it, or leave a comment and I’ll answer them in a post.

Yay for more questions!

  1. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? I would have to say chocolate covered sunflower seeds, but I loved them!

  2. What song would you pick to sing at a karaoke bar? I would probably pick born to fly by Sarah Evans, or reach by Gloria Estephon.

  3. Have you ever been to the opera or symphony orchestra? I’ve been to the symphony, but not the opra.

  4. Do you play golf? Are you any good at it? I obviously don’t play golf regularly, but I love to go to the driving range! I’m not good at getting the ball in the whole though.

  5. Do you have anything in your house that you should really throw out but probably never will? I’m sure I do, what though, I have no idea!

Questions and there answers

  1. what is the most played song on your I-pod? Well, my iTunes isn’t authorized, because I had it on 1 computer and then put it on this one when I got the iPod, I still can’t figure out how to authorize it, and neither could my sister. 2. Are you happy with your height? Or do you wish you were taller or shorter? I’m OK with it now, but I used to want to be 5/7, like mom, (I’m 5/5 according to the doctor’s office measurements.)

  3. Do you know how to do CPR? I learned how to do cpr my senior year in high school, I’m not sure that I could remember in an emergency circumstance though.

  4. Have you ever or would you ever run a marathon? I want to do many things… but running a marathon isn’t one of them!

  5. Do you like your middle name? Not really, I don’t like it when anyone, (besides family,) calls me by mymiddle name!

PS, I didn’t post this at 9:35, I hit publish at 10:00 on the dot! I started answering questions then.

Had to restart.

Windows were starting to act wonky, I unloaded JAWS and couldn’t get it to launch again, so needed to restart, and pray that it would reboot. My prayer was answered and it did! I flipped that forbidden switch again!

Blank questions for flcomputergeek.

Signal boosting... otherwise known as links!

I’m taking a break from the questions to link to some other people who are also doing blogathon.

Reminder, and more questions!

OK, I keep forgetting this! maybe I should put it in the signature, I really really need those receipts, or to know how much you donated, so I can track totals. I was talking to dad a while ago, and he said he thought mom donated last night, but I don’t have a receipt from her. Please send them to: OK, now

Blank questions.

So, let’s get started with the theme! I’ll answer questions that I’ve collected, I’ve put these questions into a text file, and I’ll try to be as random as I can with them. If you want to ask a question, ask it in the comments, or at: or on twitter: @webgurl, and I’ll answer it!I’m writing these for my friend Mark to answer, so he can send me the answers and I can post them. But, since the questions are blank, anyone can answer them!

  1. List 3 of the scaryist dreams you’ve ever had.

  2. What is your favorite dessert?

  3. What is the most dangerous thing you’d like to try doing? What keeps you from doing it?

Blogging for: Lions Clubs International

Click to make a disaster donation
Click to make a humanitarian donation

PS, blogger is acting crazy today, yep I started working on that at 6:20, but I didn’t publish it until 6:30!

Ready? set? go!

Let’s get this thing started, shall we? I’m already multitasking, I’m not sure if that’s a good sign or a bad sign, to be multitasking so early, but it’s happening! My total so far? $0! I promise I’ll sing if you decide to donate! I’m serious about that one, I already know the song I’m going to sing, and everything.. But I don’t know the whole song, so I’m just going to sing the coris of it. I’ll do back flips for your donations, but I can’t get them on video, so you’ll just have to take me at my word that I did them! Well, it’s time to hit publish… here we go!

T minus 48 hours.

Give or take a few hours, of course, I’m not writing this at 6:00 AM! I will start at 6:00 AM on Saturday, though. I will finish at the same time on Sunday, (August 1st.) I’m blogging for Lions Clubs International Here’s the link to donate: There are actually 2 more links that take you to pretty much the exact same form, And, I honestly don’t care which one you use, as long as you use one of them. Our local chapter of the Lions helped send me to space camp in 1999, and bought me a notetaker in 1996. Since our local chapter doesn’t have a website, (and doesn’t take online donations,) I decided to blog for the international organization. This was the same charity that I blogged for in 2007. If you do decide to donate, I’ll love you forever, not only that, I’ll sing! After you donate, please send the receipt you will receive to so I can keep track of totals! You could also just send me an email and tell me how much you donated. Yep, I’m taking the easy way out! Nope, I don’t get anything, (all the money goes directly to the charity!) Oh yeah and I won’t send spam. I’m planning to answer questions that I’ve collected from various places on the internet, so that will be my theme. I’m also planning to post some blank questions, (as if they were going to be used for mail murge,) so that a friend of mine can answer them in his guest post. Oh yeah, I’m also planning a contest! I spent a lot of money on candy when I went on my trip to the big city a few weeks ago, if you can guess the exact weight of my candy bag, (that’s still full,) I’ll donate $20 to the charity your blogging for, (or a charity of your choice, if your not participating.) This should be fun!

Testing from the site.

Testing. Hope this doesn’t end up in the title.

Testing 123!

OK… Why isn’t this working? Come on, blogger! You mean to say I
can’t use 2 email addresses for post-by-email? that’s just idiotic! Oh… uh… that was me sending to the ether on the test before this one!

Another test post.

So I broke it the last time. Yep, that’s me, Mr. Let’s Break Everything. lol! Okay, here’s to having another attempt at posting!

This is a test!

I’m testing the blogger post-by-email feature, in preparation for the
big event on Saturday! I’m so excited! This is going to be lots and
lots of fun, provided everything goes well, of course.

Saturday 7 7

No, I didn’t just make a mistake there! This is actually my 7th Saturday 7! So, just to recap everything, I’m going to post links to the 6 lists I’ve done, oh yeah and I’ll link to this one, so that I have a 7th link in there.

  1. 7 reasons for starting Saturday 7.

  2. 7 of my favorite TV shows.

  3. 7 things we did on our trip, (the one we went on back in April.)

  4. 7 things I like about summer.

  5. 7 things I’m probably going to do on my trip, (this was for the trip I took last weekend.)

  6. 7 kinds of candy I bought when I was on my trip last weekend.

  7. then there’s this one!

PS, I was going to skip Saturday 7, because I just couldn’t think of things to write a list about, (actually it was that I had several ideas, and couldn’t decide which one it was going to be.) I decided on this one, but I’m not exactly sure why.

I'm sticking to the plan...

Even though blogathon 2010 is officially not happening this year, I’m going to do it unofficially! Because plans are good, and planning is fun, (for me, at least.) I’ve decided to do it the exact same time, and the exact same day as it was planned. So, from July 31st, at 6:00 AM pacific time, to August 1st, at 6:00 AM, I’ll post every 30 minutes. Yep, that’s 24 hours, (woohoo!) Because staying up for 24 hours is fun! and because I only get to do it once a year. The charity I plan to blog for is the same one I blogged for in 2007, Lions Clubs International Oh yeah, and there’s a facebook invite for the event right here There are several ways to do this, (donation-wise,) and I’m still deciding, although I think I have a pretty good idea of how I’m going to do it. I could take pledges via email, or I could just take donations during the event and ask for receipts, (so that I can keep track of running totals, even though I really, really suck at math!) Anyway, I’ll post more later. But I’ll be here bright and early on the 31st!

Happy 4th of July!

I’m about to go to church with my friend, but I just wanted to wish everyone a happy 4th of July before we leave! Her church meets outdoors, after service is over, they have lunch for free! We’re having a cookout tonight too! Well, this is just an ultra-short post! Hope everyone has a good day, and does fun stuff today! Oh yeah, we’re going to the fireworks later.+

I'm going on a trip!

I’m going to the big city, (well, it’s bigger than the one I live in,) to visit a friend. I’m all packed and ready, (accept for some last-minute things.) I just gave my friend a proposition while we were talking on the phone. When I told her I was going to be doing blogathon last week, she wanted me to do the charity that she works for. So, today when we talked, I said, “why don’t you do it?” She actually thought it was a good idea! I said I would help set her up this weekend while I’m there, (installing live messenger and starting a blog.) Now, I’m really excited, I’ve always wanted someone to do blogathon with me, (and my friend and her daughter went most of the way in 2007, although they weren’t participating.) Oh yeah, and we’re totally going to go to the mall, and hit some candy shops while I’m there! Yay!
